On Saturday I ran the 10k at the Fall City Days Race!
My mom, step dad and our Bernese Mountain dog Reese brought me to the race early Saturday morning. Luckily, the weather was fantastic, I couldn’t have asked for a better morning to run. Low 60’s = perfection! I mean I still sweated like crazy, but I wasn’t freezing at the start!
Ready to run!
Overall, the race went pretty well! There was only one chick that was annoying the crap out of me; because she would stay right on my heel and try to pass then cut me off and so on. Eventually, I managed to get away from her thank god!
My mom acted as my photographer for the morning. She managed to capture some pictures of me running towards the finish.
My knee was killing me by this point. (need new shoes BAD)
I crossed the finish line in just over 48 minutes. Not too shabby.
My overall goal was to get 1st in my age group and within the top 10-15 overall for women. I achieved my goal and got 1st in my age group and 12th overall for women!! I was ecstatic. :)
Mom made me pose with my metal. Reese wouldn’t pose with me. Lame.
After the awards were given out we went home and I just laid outside for an hour. Managed to get a little burnt too.
The rest of the day was jam packed with stuff. My dad and I ran a bunch of errands. I got some new uber cute running shoes. Long over due.
The brighter the better!
I almost forgot to mention. Lots of presents arrived at my moms house too! My #Sweat Pink swag arrived and the Larabar ALT bars came too! I won the ALT bars from a giveaway that Danica from Its Progression had.
So far my dad and I tried the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Apple Cinnamon. Both winners in our books!
Yesterday for Father’s Day my dad and I went to the Issaquah Car Show. It was pretty fun, lots of old classic cars to see. Loved every moment, plus again the weather was great. Dinner was at Claim Jumpers with desert at Yogurtland.
I’ve never had frozen yogurt like this before. I had to mix together all things chocolate. Duh!
Tell me about your weekend!
Do you like Frozen Yogurt?
