Shopping and I Don’t Mix

Back to work, back to work after a long (much needed) weekend! I hope everyone had a marvelous weekend! I sure did, lots of smiles here. :) :)

Yesterday, I was such a good daughter and went to see my mom on her first day of school!

Her school was just remodeled- actually torn down and completely built from the ground up. Literally. I am quite jealous of her new school and library. Holy smokes guys, she has the best view in the entire school. Go Mom, you deserve it!!

I spent a few hours at her school unpacking boxes and saying hello to the kiddos. My mom kept bragging about my half marathon to all the kids. One of the kids asked if I was as fast as a cheetah. My response: Sadly no, I don’t have four legs. By the way, the kids were in kindergarten, it cracked me up. Apparently, all kindergartners can run as fast as a cheetah.

I wish! HA!

Let’s switch gears. Back to thee bike. I need new road bike shoes. The last ones I brought ended up being to narrow and hurting my feet. I couldn’t have that, since my “sixth toe” was like beat red after only fifteen miles on Sunday.

I ended up taking those shoes back and purchasing some new shoes from a different store. I HATE the process of trying on shoes in general. I have a wide foot and the experience is always a pain. On a POSITIVE note, I found some fabulous shoes.

These bad boys are called The Bontrager. I had no issues last night when I went on a 20 mile ride. My “sixth toe” was fine, no whining! YES!!

I remember back in high school when I would look for homecoming or prom shoes and how long it would take to find something that would fit.

Like two. Literally.

I’ve just never really enjoyed shopping. I wish I could give you a solid answer as to why I am not the type of girl who follows the latest fashions and would just window shop for “fun.” I don’t understand the “fun” since it would just make me depressed looking at all the stuff I “want” but cannot “afford.” Meh, whatever.

My mom keeps saying one day I will enjoy it. Or maybe she just wants me to like jewelry more? Not sure.

Anywho, with all my moaning and groaning about shoes, I finally got a pair that fit my feet like a glove! Hooray!

Time to get back to work. Starting a work week on a Wednesday is NOT COOL! My days are all out of WHACK! The plus side is that I am going to Trivia tonight!

Do you like shopping? Shoe shopping?

What was the last item you bought?

XO, Tara
