Get ready for the Kirkland Turkey Trot 5k, 10K and the Kids Race! Mark your calendars for November 15th at 9:00 AM and join us at Juanita Bay Park for a fun, family-friendly run that kicks off the holiday season in style.
This scenic route begins and ends at Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland. Runners will make their way to and through Juanita Bay Park, taking in the Seattle skyline and the beautiful views of Lake Washington, before returning to Juanita Beach Park via the historic Market Street Bridge.
Both the Kirkland Turkey Trot 5k and 10k are challenging and we have some serious runners out there trying to make their best time. The course is professionally marked and managed by the Cascade Stride Running Company. Here are some other great features of the 2026 Kirkland Turkey Trot:

- Accurate chip timing with a visible start/finish clock and prompt official results through a great timing company called Negative Split.
- A clearly marked, measured course with mile (or kilometer) markers, directional signage, and marshals or cones at turns thanks to Cascade Stride Running Co.
- Multiple Water Stations
- Adequate portable toilets at the start area, finish area, and preferably one or two points on the course.
- Medical support, including first-aid personnel or an EMS presence at the finish line.
- Pre-Race packet pickup with bibs, timing chips (if not integrated), and safety pins. (location TBD)
- A well-defined start and finish area with an announcer, sound system, and space for warm-up and lining up by pace.
- Great parking
- Bag-check facilities available
- Post-race water, basic snacks (such as bananas or energy bars) provided
- Finisher medals, age-group awards, or similar recognition, along with a results online posting.
- Course safety measures, including traffic control, volunteer course monitors, and communication among staff.
- Spectator and family viewing areas that do not obstruct runners.

Venue Details
Juanita Beach Park features a playground, bathhouse with restrooms, sand volleyball courts, ballfields, tennis courts, walking path, picnic shelters and a seasonal swimming area. This park includes areas on both sides of Juanita Drive and includes 1,000 feet of Lake Washington shoreline.
Juanita Beach Park has a rich history as a popular summer destination since the early 1900s. There are many interpretive signs telling the history of the area throughout the park. The park bathhouse was rebuilt and a new accessible playground installed in 2020.
During the summer months, the park is the location of the Juanita Friday Market, a weekly farmers market.
There are two parking lots available at this park with space for up to 200 vehicles. Juanita Beach Park is located at: 9703 NE Juanita Dr, Kirkland, WA 98034.
